Fruit of the Spirit

Ten days walking through the nine qualities the Spirit grows in a believer — love, joy, peace, and the rest — with one passage that puts each fruit on display. For anyone who wants their character to look more like Jesus, one fruit at a time.

  1. Reading 1

    Walking by the SpiritGalatians 5:16–26

We start with the famous list itself — nine qualities the Spirit grows in us as we walk with Him, and the map for the next nine days.

  2. Reading 2

    Love1 Corinthians 13:1–13

Love comes first on the list, and this chapter shows why: without it, even our most impressive gifts add up to nothing.

  3. Reading 3

    Rejoice in the LordPhilippians 4:1–9

Paul writes 'rejoice' from a prison cell, showing us a joy that grows from the Lord's nearness, not from easy circumstances.

  4. Reading 4

Peace I Leave with YouJohn 14:27–31

On the night before the cross, Jesus gives His friends peace unlike the peace the world gives.

  5. Reading 5

    Patience in SufferingJames 5:7–12

James points to the farmer waiting for rain to teach us patience: the slow, steady trust that God's timing is worth waiting for.

  6. Reading 6

The Parable of the Good SamaritanLuke 10:25–37

The Good Samaritan shows kindness and goodness in action — mercy that crosses the road, and every other line, to help.

  7. Reading 7

Entrusted Money, Accounting, and Outer DarknessMatthew 25:14–30

Faithfulness looks like the servants in this parable: quietly doing well with what the Master has entrusted until He returns.

  8. Reading 8

    Rest for the WearyMatthew 11:25–30

Jesus calls Himself 'gentle and humble in heart,' so today we learn gentleness from the only teacher whose yoke is easy.

  9. Reading 9

Partakers of the Divine Nature2 Peter 1:1–15

Peter urges us to add self-control to our faith, reminding us that God has already given us everything we need to grow.

  10. Reading 10

    Jesus the True VineJohn 15:1–8

We close where all this fruit actually comes from: staying connected to Jesus the Vine, because apart from Him we can do nothing.
