Website inquiries & updates
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This notice covers the church-interest and product-updates forms and the My Pew Pal church-lesson reader on this website. See the separate Sermon Sidekick privacy policy and My Pew Pal privacy policy for the apps.
What you choose to share
The church-interest form collects your church name, contact name and email address. Earlier inquiries may also contain a previously supplied approximate church size; new inquiries no longer ask for it. The updates form collects your email address. We record the time and version of the consent you provide. These forms are for adults; please do not submit children’s details or private sermon and study content.
How we use it
Church inquiries are used to respond about the church program. They do not automatically subscribe you to general product updates. If you separately choose updates, your address is used for Sermon Sidekick and My Pew Pal launch and product news. Submitting either form does not create an app account, church membership or paid subscription.
Storage and access
Submissions are stored in the website’s private hosted database, accessible to the site owner and authorized administrators. Hosting providers process the records to operate the service. No public visitor endpoint lists submissions. We do not sell these details.
To limit repeated submissions, the service temporarily stores a hash derived from the network address and the hour, with a request counter. Raw network addresses are not stored in the form database. These short-lived counters are removed during later intake requests after their expiry.
Reading your church’s published lesson
When a grown-up enters a church code in the My Pew Pal web companion, the browser sends that code to the existing My Pew Pal service hosted on Google Firebase to check access and retrieve the church’s published lesson. The request also sends the ordinary network information needed to provide a web service. This feature does not ask for a child’s name, profile or account, and does not save reading progress or a church connection in browser storage. The displayed lesson is held in memory for this visit and can be cleared with Disconnect. Private staff drafts are not requested.
Your choices
Submitting these forms is optional. To correct your details, withdraw your request for updates or ask for deletion, email support@sermonsidekick.org. We keep inquiry and signup records while needed to respond or provide the updates you requested, or until you ask us to remove them.
