Church Subscription Terms
Revision 1.5 · Effective November 3, 2026 · Seller: AGC Studios LLC
1. Who this agreement is with
These Church Subscription Terms govern the church program offered through sermonsidekick.org by AGC Studios LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). The subscribing church or ministry is the "Church." The person accepting these Terms confirms that they are at least 18 and authorized to enter this agreement and arrange payment on the Church's behalf.
Effective date: November 3, 2026. Questions, billing concerns and formal notices to us go by email to support@sermonsidekick.org. A notice is received when it arrives at that address.
2. Inquiry, verification and enrollment
Submitting an inquiry does not create a subscription, begin a trial, authorize a charge, or grant pastor access. We may request the Church's address, an authorized contact and a public website, social-media page or listing to verify the inquiry. We may arrange a phone or video conversation if additional verification is needed.
During founding enrollment, an authorized representative enrolls the Church by choosing its average weekly attendance band on sermonsidekick.org and completing Stripe checkout, which starts the trial. We then confirm the Church and may ask for the details above. If we cannot confirm the Church, or it is outside the 50 US states and Washington, DC, we cancel the trial before any charge. Once the Church is confirmed, we set up its congregation code and staff sign-in, usually within one business day. Each staff member must use their own approved account. Verifying an email address alone does not establish authority to represent a Church.
The congregation's join code connects members with church content in both apps. Possessing or sharing that code does not grant staff permissions, approval powers, billing access or a complimentary subscription.
3. What a Church subscription includes
One Church subscription covers the Church's sermon and lesson program in both Sermon Sidekick and My Pew Pal. Authorized staff can use the enabled portal tools to prepare or import sermon materials, review adult and children's companion content separately, and publish approved content for their congregation.
Members do not need to purchase a second Church subscription for the other app. Individual Plus subscriptions and other personal upgrades are separate.
Every plan includes one new sermon for each Sunday: in each calendar month, counted in U.S. Eastern time, the Church may start as many new sermons as that month has Sundays (four, or five in a month with five Sundays). Each sermon includes adult and children's content and up to three redos, and redos do not count as new sermons. Unused sermons do not roll over to a later month. Additional sermons are not available for purchase at this time.
Your selected plan and checkout describe the features being purchased. Roadmap ideas are not included merely because they have been discussed. Church newsletters, community posting, livestream hosting, uploaded-video hosting, merchandise and a full church website are not promised by this subscription unless expressly included in the purchased plan.
4. Pricing and congregation size
Prices below are in US dollars. Any applicable taxes and the total amount due will be displayed at checkout before you confirm enrollment.
| Plan | Average weekly attendance | Monthly billing | Annual billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| First 50 | Up to 50 | $39.99 per month | $439.89 per year |
| First 50 | 51–150 | $79.99 per month | $879.89 per year |
| First 50 | 151–400 | $129.99 per month | $1,429.89 per year |
| First 50 | 401–1,000 | $179.99 per month | $1,979.89 per year |
| First 50 | 1,001–2,500 | $279.99 per month | $3,079.89 per year |
| Standard | Up to 50 | $49.99 per month | $549.89 per year |
| Standard | 51–150 | $99.99 per month | $1,099.89 per year |
| Standard | 151–400 | $149.99 per month | $1,649.89 per year |
| Standard | 401–1,000 | $199.99 per month | $2,199.89 per year |
| Standard | 1,001–2,500 | $299.99 per month | $3,299.89 per year |
Annual plans are billed as one annual charge equal to eleven monthly prices, not twelve monthly installments. During founding enrollment, plans are billed monthly; annual billing will be offered later.
Your plan, its cohort and its price are shown at checkout before you accept. The first 50 Churches to enroll receive First 50 founder pricing. First 50 price lock: a First 50 Church's monthly price for its attendance band will not increase for as long as its subscription stays active. The lock ends if the Church cancels and its subscription ends, if the subscription ends for nonpayment after any grace period, or if we refund its first paid charge; a refunded Church also gives up its First 50 place. A Church that subscribes again later pays the price in effect at that time. If a First 50 Church moves to a different attendance band, it keeps First 50 pricing for the new band. Every Church after the first 50 pays Standard pricing. Every plan is priced by average weekly attendance. A Church above 2,500 average weekly attendees receives a custom quote, starting at $499 per month, instead of a listed plan.
Each sermon's adult companion study can be generated once and regenerated up to three more times, for example after the source is edited.
The Church declares its average weekly attendance during enrollment, and that sets its band. If the Church's attendance moves into a different band, we will discuss moving to the appropriate band. Changing bands alone does not cause an automatic charge, mid-period price increase or feature lockout. Any agreed plan change will show its price and effective date before confirmation.
5. First-time Church trial and automatic renewal
An eligible first-time Church signup receives a 30-day free trial. Payment details are required at checkout. The trial starts when enrollment checkout is completed, not when an inquiry is submitted, an invitation is opened, or approval is granted. Changing staff members, email addresses or join codes does not create a new first-time Church trial.
At the end of the trial, your selected monthly or annual subscription is charged automatically unless you cancel before the displayed trial-end time. It then renews at the selected billing interval unless canceled. Checkout will display your plan, post-trial price, trial-end date and first billing date before you accept.
We will send a reminder seven days before the trial ends, including the upcoming charge and a link to manage or cancel the subscription. Keep your billing email current. You can cancel without waiting for that reminder.
6. Payments and billing management
Stripe processes subscription payments. You authorize the selected recurring charge and any separately accepted changes, plus applicable taxes shown at checkout. Keep a valid payment method and current billing contact on file.
The Stripe billing portal provides payment-method updates, invoices and cancellation; we send its link with your billing emails and on request. If you cannot access it, contact support@sermonsidekick.org for assistance. Staff membership and Church permissions remain separate from billing contact details.
7. Cancellation, the 30-day grace and the processing cutoff
You may cancel future renewal through the billing portal. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Canceling before the trial expires avoids the first subscription charge. We will show the effective date and confirm your cancellation.
After a paid subscription lapses through nonpayment or effective cancellation, the Church has a 30-day grace period. During those 30 days authorized staff can still upload and save materials, run generation, review and publish as normal. At the exact end of those 30 days, new uploads and saves, AI generation and publication all stop together. There is no additional 15-day window, and uploading does not continue after the deadline. We will show the deadline in the portal and send billing notices to the Church contact.
If you cancel during the free trial, access ends at the trial's scheduled end without another 30-day grace period. If the first payment after the trial fails, new processing stops immediately, without a 30-day grace period. In both cases existing drafts, sermon history and published congregation content remain readable as described below.
When payment resumes and billing is confirmed, staff can again upload, generate and publish to the same Church code, without new Church verification solely because of the lapse. Resuming payment never automatically publishes material prepared while unpaid; normal staff review and explicit publication are still required. Separate security or content restrictions may still apply.
8. Published content and unpaid bills
A Church billing lapse alone will not remove its already-published sermons and lessons from congregation access in either app. Billing enforcement stops staff from creating new work — uploads, generation and publication — once the grace period ends. It does not remove what already exists: staff keep read access to existing drafts and history, and members can continue looking back through sermon history using the Church code.
We retain sermon history regardless of cancellation or nonpayment unless the Church requests removal. An authorized Church representative may request history removal through support@sermonsidekick.org. We will verify their authority and confirm what is to be removed. Canceling the subscription or missing a payment is not itself a request to remove history. A history-removal request does not authorize deleting members' private notes, journals or other personal account data.
This does not prevent removal requested by an authorized content owner, removal required by law, or action addressing prohibited content or a security incident. Published content and unpublished source files may have different retention rules.
We keep the Church's unpublished drafts and uploaded files for as long as the Church's account exists, including after cancellation, a refund or nonpayment. There is no self-serve export; an authorized Church representative may ask support@sermonsidekick.org for a copy of the Church's draft text, and we will send it by email. When an authorized representative asks us to delete the Church's drafts and uploaded files, we will verify their authority and delete them within 30 days. If we ever close the service, we will give at least 60 days' notice so the Church can request copies first.
9. Refunds
If you decide the Church program is not a fit after your trial, contact support@sermonsidekick.org within seven calendar days of your first paid subscription charge to request a full refund of that charge and cancellation. This one-time policy applies to the first monthly or annual charge after the trial.
Later renewal charges are ordinarily non-refundable, including unused portions of a billing period, except where required by law, charged incorrectly or duplicated, or where we agree otherwise to resolve a service problem. This policy does not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
When we issue a first-charge refund, we cancel the subscription at the same time. From that moment the Church's portal is read-only: saving new drafts, uploads, AI generation and publication all stop until the Church subscribes again, with no grace period. The Church's account and saved drafts are kept, and members can still read published sermon history unless the Church asks us to remove it. Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor; when the money appears depends on the Church's bank or card issuer. Cancellation is never an automatic refund.
10. Uploaded materials and permissions
As between you and us, the Church and its contributors retain the rights they already hold in submitted materials. You confirm that you have the permissions needed to upload and use those materials, including third-party text, images, recordings and identifiable individuals' contributions.
You give us permission to store, process, reproduce, adapt into requested adult and children's companion materials, and display or distribute the content as needed to provide the service according to your publication choices. This permission extends to service providers performing those functions for us; it does not transfer ownership of the original sermon to us.
Do not upload confidential counseling records, unnecessary personal information, children's personal details, or recordings you lack permission to share. Third-party Bible translations and other licensed materials retain their own attribution and usage restrictions. No exclusive ownership or copyright eligibility is promised for AI-generated output, which may resemble other output.
11. Review of generated material
Generated summaries, studies, references and children's lessons may contain errors, omit context or present an interpretation the Church does not endorse. Authorized staff are responsible for checking Scripture references, accuracy, doctrine, appropriateness for the audience and publication permissions before publishing.
Adult approval does not automatically approve the children's version. These tools support preparation and learning; they do not replace Scripture, pastoral judgment or appropriate adult supervision.
12. Privacy, children and account security
The website and each app have separate privacy notices describing their actual data practices. These Terms do not authorize the Church to access members' private notes, journals, prayers or other personal account content.
A Church subscription is not blanket parental consent to collect children's personal information. Applicable parent/guardian notices and consent processes must be followed. The Church's responsibilities do not eliminate our own responsibilities as an operator.
Protect staff sign-ins and promptly remove access when a person is no longer authorized. Notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. Use the congregation code for member access, not as a shared staff password.
13. Acceptable use and service problems
Do not use the service to infringe others' rights, impersonate another Church or person, distribute unlawful or exploitative material, compromise accounts, or deliberately disrupt the service. We may restrict the affected access or content when necessary to address abuse, security threats or legal requirements. Where practical, we will explain the reason and a way to contact us about the issue.
The service may be unavailable during maintenance or incidents. Keep your own copies of important original materials.
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without other warranties. To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amounts the Church paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Changes and notices
A price increase never applies to a First 50 Church while its price lock lasts (see section 4). For any other subscription, we will give at least 30 days' notice before a price increase takes effect. A price increase never applies retroactively, and the price of a prepaid annual subscription is preserved until its next renewal. You may cancel before the applicable renewal.
We will email the Church contact at least 30 days before any other material change to these Terms takes effect. A change required by law or by an urgent security need may take effect sooner, and we will explain it promptly. If the Church does not accept a change, it may cancel before the change takes effect.
Transactional notices come from noreply@sermonsidekick.org, with replies directed to support@sermonsidekick.org. Separately requested product/news updates come from updates@sermonsidekick.org. A Church inquiry or subscription does not automatically enroll the contact in general marketing emails.
15. Acceptance and help
An authorized representative must accept these Terms at checkout before enrollment is completed. Stripe records that acceptance with the checkout, and we retain the accepted Terms version and its date with the Church's records. The final Terms and privacy notices must remain accessible for reference.
Questions or disputes should first be directed to support@sermonsidekick.org so we can try to resolve them. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. A dispute we cannot resolve informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and both parties consent to that venue. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.
